New trust funds to boost Danish supplies

Denmark is ready to put DKK 135 million into the creation of trust funds administered by international finance institutions. (See DT 1/94)

The trust funds are being held at the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, African Development Bank, Inter-American Development Bank and International Finance Corporation. Danish International Development Assistance expects these trust funds to attract orders from multilateral agencies to Danish firms.

This financing is tied to Danish consultancy services in areas where Danish companies have a strong position. Experience has shown that when Danish consultants are used in the preparatory stage of project planning, the result is an increase in orders to Danish companies when the projects are carried out.
