As poor as Africa. UNDP urges more aid for C Asia
A new UNDP report shows that some Central Asian countries are as poor as the poorest countries in Africa. The Director of the UNDP Nordic Office now urges the international community to increase the amount of foreign direct investments and the volume of official development assistance to East Europe and the CIS countries in order to fulfill world development pledges and reduce poverty.
