Finnchurchaid focuses on women war victims in DRC

Excluding half of the participants from any process kills the process itself. Yet this is precisely what happens in the majority of aid programmes run by official development assistance and NGOs: they leave women on the sidelines.

A new programme being launched by Finland’s second largest NGO Finnchurchaid is addressing the gender gap while at the same time responding to the changing nature of armed conflict where civilians - especially women and girls - are systematically targeted.
