Norway as a social investor

A Development Commission, led by Gunstein Instefjord with members from all political parties, has delivered its report to the Development and Environment Minister. The Commission was asked to examine the influence of factors other than aid on poverty reduction. A key recommendation is to use Norway’s oil fortune to set up a new investment fund for poor countries.
