SEK 500 million for electrification in Tanzania
Sweden puts focus on electricity for city people and rural farmers in Tanzania, granting SEK 500 million for a new programme to provide access to electricity in six districts in the Iringa and Ruvuma regions.
New transmission lines will make it possible to close down old and polluting diesel-driven power plants.
Three project contracts will be put out on tender.
