As part of the Actor-driven Cooperation Policy, Sida has set up a “rapid response fund", which offers up to SEK 300,000 to Swedish public institutions that want to establish cooperation arrangements in developing countries.

Promoting Swedish actors in an untied regime

A new Swedish government policy encourages Swedish actors to engage in development activities. But it skirts around the dilemma of how to promote the Swedish private sector without violating untied aid rules.

Compact tops NOREPS list

Compact tops the list of companies providing in-kind contributions financed by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Total supplies amounted to NOK 73.1 million for the period 2001-2007.

The Swedish National Anti-Corruption Unit is in the final phase of investigating the involvement of Swedish companies in bribery related to the UN-financed oil-for-food scheme in Iraq.
