SEKAB biofuel project in Tanzania tests new Sida guarantee facility

The Swedish biofuel company SEKAB has been unable to find a new investor for its planned biofuel plantation projects in Tanzania, and has turned to Sida for an aid-financed credit guarantee.

SEKAB argues that Sida’s support is crucial for continuation of the project. The aid agency is fast-tracking consideration of the application, and aims for a reply by October.
