The Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs announces a tender for auditing services for the second phase of the Programme for Luapula Agricultural and Rural Development (PLARD) in Zambia.

The programme runs from January 2011 to January 2015, with technical assistance provided by the Finnish consultancy company FCG.

The assignment is to audit the annual financial reports for the PLARD II programme during period January-December 2011-2014 and determine whether they are in accordance with the programme’s accounting records and agreed budget. The auditor is also expected to conduct a general assessment of internal controls, including reviewing expenditures, reviewing the process for procurement and contracting activities and assessing whether it was transparent and competitive, and reviewing the use, control and disposal of non-expendable equipment.

The deadline for submission of tenders is February 3, 2012.
