Lucrative Nordic charity market. Plan reaches SEK 8 billion

The children’s charity Plan International established offices in the Nordic region in the late 1990s. Since then, the four Nordic branches have raised funds amounting to almost SEK 8 billion, mostly through individual child sponsorship.

In a newly negotiated forest climate deal with Guyana, Norway will pay about NOK 40 million annually to the South American country as long as forest loss does not exceed 10,000 hectares a year.
