Review of Danish Palestine aid

The Foreign Ministry in Copenhagen is commissioning an evaluation of the Danish engagement in Palestine.

The overall objective of Denmark’s engagement is to contribute to the realisation of a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Danish support goes to three main channels:

·         PLO’s Negotiations Affairs Department, and Palestinian presence in East Jerusalem;

·         State building with a focus on support to human rights, good governance, PEGASE and police training;

·         Support for improved livelihood for the Palestinian people including support for UNRWA.

The evaluation should assess Denmark’s contribution to the establishment of a viable democratic sovereign Palestinian state as part of a negotiated two-state-solution. It should document concrete results achieved at the policy level as well as on the ground in Gaza and the West Bank.

It will be carried out during June-November 2014 with a budget not exceeding DKK 1.4 million.

Those who have been involved in the Danish aid to Palestine previously will not be eligible for this assignment.

The deadline for the submission of applications is March 13, 2014.
