Sida training in education and safety

Sida announces a tender for procurement of training to provide Sida’s partners with safety and security awareness in a variety of insecure development and humanitarian contexts.

The procurement includes two types of trainings, one that focuses on personal security (duration of three days) and another one which focuses on security management (duration of four days). These types of training do not require a full simulation but meet stated needs by combining theoretical classroom learning with short practical exercises providing participants with the opportunity to respond to specific security situations and threats in a safe and controlled environment.

The target group for the trainings are Swedish partners, government agencies as well as Swedish CSOs who are involved in international development as well as humanitarian action.

This procurement is for a framework agreement. Each training could include up to two persons per agency or organisation with an upper limit of 25 participants in all.

The deadline for the submission of tenders is January 26, 2016.
