Audit of Kenyan health sector aid

The Royal Danish Embassy has decided to perform audits of Danida funds transferred to the Government of Kenya’s health facilities. The auditing will be coordinated by Kenya National Audit Office and in liaison with the Integrated Independent Fiduciary Review Agent contracted by Ministry of Health and World Bank.

The purpose of the audit is to confirm that funds have been used for the intended purposes and in an efficient and economical manner in line with the financing covenants with between Danida and Kenyan financial regulations and guidelines.

This is the third phase of Danish support to the Kenyan health sector. It amounted to DKK 430 million over five years (2012-16) and covered three components: primary health care; essential medicines; and sexual and reproductive health and rights.

The deadline for the submission of tenders is July 21, 2015.
