Monitoring Danish assistance in Kenya

The Danish Embassy in Nairobi intends to implement a complementary external monitoring, evaluation and learning intervention over the 2016-2020 Denmark– Kenya Country Programme life cycle.   

A consultant, organisation or consortium will be hired to monitor the progress and performance of the programme and assist with improved cooperation, steering, implementation risk management and value for money.

The main objective of the assignment is to help ensure that Kenya Country Programme results are achieved as planned.

The monitoring and evaluation support will function as an early warning system with regards to fiduciary risks. The contractor will provide services that entail extensive field monitoring and close cooperation with the implementing partners.

The Danish Kenya programme consists of three thematic programmes: the governance theme worth DKK 225 million will support constitutional reforms; the green growth and employment them worth DKK 500 million will support jobs from investment and trade and sustainable use of natural resources; and the health theme worth DKK 245.5 million will support provision of equitable access to quality health care, including support for primary health care facilities and for health systems strengthening and support for sexual and reproductive health and rights.

The deadline for the submission of tenders is September 27, 2016.
