Norway bypasses Sweden as the largest Nordic donor

In 2010, Norway will become the largest Nordic donor, bypassing Sweden.

But there is growing criticism of how Environment and Development Minister Eirk Solheim has beefed up Norwegian aid with spending on a massive expansion of asylum seekers’ facilities in Norway and efforts to reduce CO2 emissions, both controversial activities under the umbrella of Official Development Assistance.
