Still stranded in Aceh: IFRC purchases 15,000 new tents

The International Federation of the Red Cross (IFRC) has purchased 15,000 tents for people made homeless by last year’s tsunami in Aceh, Indonesia. These will house about 60,000 people and will replace the tents, now worn out after months in the damp tropical heat, that families have been living in since the beginning of the year.
