UN envoy urges donors to give Afghans more control

Donor countries should stop focusing aid on provinces where they have military personnel. Afghans need to have a greater say in how the money is spent. “They have to take the leadership, that is the only way to go," says Kai Eide, UN Special Envoy in Kabul, at a meeting with foreign correspondents in Oslo ahead of the Afganistan conference in Paris.
