World Bank clears Norplan, Veidekke dropped out

One of Norway’s leading consultants Norplan has been cleared by the World Bank of suspected irregularities after a two-and-a-half year long process.

The Bank pulled out of the Bugoye hydropower project in Uganda in 2008, claiming at the time that the participation of Norplan and the Norwegian firm Veidekke posed an unacceptable “reputational risk” for the Bank.
