Bypassing diplomacy could be costly

Norway has commissioned the Washington-based think tank, the Center for Global Development (CGD), which has in turn sub-contracted consultants from the firm Climate Advisers to lobby the White House and Congress. Their task is to convince the US government to double its funding in line with Norway’s high-profile rainforest initiative.
