Danish center-right alliance aims for deep aid cuts

The Danish election has given yet another populist party a key role in Nordic aid policy, paving the way for deep budget cuts and tightly linking aid to anti-immigration efforts. One in five Danes voted for the Danish People’s Party (DPP), whose programme states: “Denmark is not an immigrant country ... we will not accept transformation to a multi-ethnic society.”
