DFI makeover

After years of neglect, IFU emerges as key Danish player in aid and climate investment

Business November 23, 2023 / By: Bjørn H Amland

The aid-funded impact investor IFU is about to move to the frontline of Danish aid following a government decision to multiply capital injections and loans for the fund. By 2030, it is expected to manage DKK 36 billion, an amount that could exceed the Danish aid budget. In an interview with Development Today, the leadership says IFU has been through a massive transformation and key to this has been the untying of the fund.
