Lazzarini seeks financial security for UNRWA to survive 2024 and beyond

In the face of a “massive attack on its credibility,” the UN’s Palestinian refugee agency UNRWA is operating “hand-to-mouth, month-to-month” with resources to cover operations up to August. UNRWA chief Philippe Lazzarini’s bigger worry is what happens next year if the United States does not resume funding.
