Norfund closes SN Power chapter, books 21% annual return from two-decade long hydropower adventure

The Norwegian impact investor Norfund is selling off its remaining hydropower stakes in Africa to the UK Savannah Energy, finalising its exit from SN Power, which it established in 2002 with the Norwegian state-owned utility Statkraft. Norfund has since 2020 cashed in more than NOK 12 billion from sales of SN Power assets.
