International Court of Justice rejects Israeli claims of UNRWA links to Hamas as agency buckles under donor cuts

The UN’s top court fully rejected Israeli claims that UNRWA, the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, is “infiltrated” by Hamas and called it an “indispensable provider of humanitarian relief in the Gaza Strip.” But donors have cut down their support over the past two years, and the agency says it does not have sufficient income to maintain operations.
