Brazil’s Amazon Fund: the origin story

Nervous but hopeful, the visionary Brazilian forester Tasso Azevedo travelled to the Bali climate summit in 2007 with a plan to save the Amazon that everyone said would never fly. To his surprise, Norway jumped on the idea and pledged a billion dollars. This is the origin story of the Amazon Fund as told by its inventor.
