Global Fund falls short of USD 18 billion fundraising target, no boost from Nordic donors

At the seventh replenishment of the Global Fund last week, five G7 countries announced significant increases in their contributions, but the UK and Italy did not pledge, leaving the fund billions of dollars short of its goal. Three Nordic donors ignored the Global Fund’s call for a 30 per cent boost in support.
