Norway cuts in 2011, scales up aid funding of hydropower firms

Norway cuts aid next year in a move to curb public spending; aid will carry its share of that burden. The 2011 budget paves the way for more aid to hydropower invest-ments for Norwegian companies. Bilateral aid programmes in Africa continue to be scaled back.
