Sida delays NGO funding decision as it awaits new civil society strategy

Three hundred non-governmental organisations – including 250 from the Global South – are holding their breath for the final result of Sida’s first open, international call on civil society funding. Sida is stalling, hoping for clarity: with a new minister in charge of aid, a state budget proposal coming this week, and a civil society strategy in the pipeline.
