Last-minute rule changes spark anger as revamp of Sweden’s civil society funding regime nears completion

Sida is nearing the final stretch of a tortured two-year-long process of revamping its system for allocating multi-year support to civil society in line with the government’s instructions. The aid agency has invited almost 50 organisations from Sweden and other countries around the world to submit final funding proposals. They’ll need to jump through one last hoop before they can sign new grant agreements.
