Swedish, Norwegian aid cuts not written in stone, decisive weeks ahead

Huge amounts have been carved out of the Swedish and Norwegian aid budgets to fund the reception of Ukrainian refugees. The exact size of the Norwegian cuts will be decided this week by parliamentary negotiations and, in Sweden, cuts amounting to SEK 9.2 billion are being prepared, but the final amounts will be decided by the number of asylum seekers arriving in the country.
